About Us

Love, put to work.

The Into Action Group exists to inspire spiritual growth through love, service, and fellowship. We seek to help every person recognize their infinite worth to an all-loving God.

We were started by members of our fellowship and we hold true to its principles, though in our current form we are not a meeting of it. Our workshops are open to anyone — members, newcomers, families, friends, and anyone curious about a spiritual way of living. There is no cost to attend. A basket is passed in the spirit of our Seventh Tradition, and those contributions fund the next gathering.

Our Mission

To create spaces where people can explore spiritual principles, share experience, and take action toward a life of deeper meaning and connection — rooted in the principles of our fellowship and in timeless works such as The Greatest Thing in the World.

Our Vision

A community where no one doubts their worth. We gather in ordinary rooms — a church hall, a fellowship room, and in 2027 a hall in Cleveland that seats a thousand — and we do the same thing in each: study, share, and carry it forward.

Our Tagline

Helping God's Children See Their Infinite Worth. It is the sentence we measure our work against. If a workshop, a panel, or a weekend does not serve that, we do it differently next time.

  • Love in Action We believe love is the greatest spiritual principle, and we strive to live it daily.
  • Service & Fellowship We grow by helping others and walking together on the spiritual path.
  • Inclusivity & Respect All are welcome, regardless of background or belief.
  • Spiritual Growth Through Action Faith without works is dead. We encourage practical application of spiritual principles.
  • Self-Supporting We remain free from outside influence, supported entirely by voluntary contributions.
Our Twelve Steps, when simmered down to the last, resolve themselves into the words “love” and “service.” We understand what love is, and we understand what service is. So let's bear those two things in mind.

Gatherings

Where we have been, and where we are going.

Since 2025 we have met on Saturday mornings in Northeast Ohio to read a book together and talk honestly about what it asks of us. Every workshop is free and open to anyone.

The Eleventh Step

A return to pages 85–88 and the practice they describe: the nightly review, the morning ask, and the pause when agitated or doubtful. This second sitting made room for breakout sessions and closed with a guided meditation.

The Eleventh Step

Prayer and meditation taken plainly and practically. We read the Eleventh Step passages together, put a panel to work on them, and spent the last of the morning in guided meditation rather than discussion.

The Way to Love

Anthony de Mello's final book, read alongside our basic text. Awareness, detachment, and love without conditions — gentle in tone and radical in what it asks you to put down.

Support the Work

We are self-supporting and decline outside contributions. Workshops are free; a basket is passed in the spirit of our Seventh Tradition, and what is given pays for the next room, the coffee, and the pizza.

That is the whole model. It has carried us from a church basement in Mentor to a hall in Cleveland that seats a thousand.
